Haha yeah, I’ve heard that from quite a few people and I agree. Sec+ seemed to be more brute force memorization of encryption strengths
Now I hold CCNP and GIAC certs. Networking fundamentals will take you far no matter which direction you take in IT
Agreed, and it’s honestly not too difficult. I think getting Net+ first certainly helps prepare you for Sec+. Net+ was my first cert
Or CompTIA Net+. See if your school is partnered with Cisco Academy tho
