I played music at my close family friend's wedding this week and flubbed the song a little due to nerves. This is so much worse that I don't feel bad anymore.

It's never too late, I picked up the piano in my late 20s and the guitar a couple of years ago. Accept that you don't have the neuroplasticity of a teenager and double down on effort but fall in love with your instrument and you'll have a good time.
