My Dad passed right around the same time. Was a shit Father’s Day, had to return that gift. Still have the card I never got to give him. Was a sudden death. I still get those moments of anger, sadness, and laughter. I used to think they were me being broken, but now I see them as fragments of my Dad that are still alive in me, and now I think they are a wonderful gift and an affirmation that he is still with me in some way.
