Thanks for adding context, I saw it and figured it was just a dick thing to do to the dog.

Never forget that Ford loves Trump and openly said he wanted him to win the election.

Really hoping that early November is a turning point and that the hurricanes are catalysts for real change. I've hoped that before with other issues and have been very disappointed but got to keep hoping. Anyways, keep going, for what it's worth I support you and am hoping for rational intelligence to win out in the end.

I'm not American so no I didn't vote for Trump. I'm sorry you're getting demoralized, I can only imagine the way things are going in American politics and to a lesser degree worldwide politics. The only people I'm blaming and that are rightfully getting called stupid are the ones that recognize climate change but either don't vote or vote for deniers. This isn't localized to Florida but it is definitely more apparent there. People like you have to just keep doing what you're doing and not quit.

Every single one of them should be voting.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think we might be saying similar things. If 90% of people in Florida recognize climate change and they don't vote or vote for idiots like DeSantis then what I'm saying is that they are part of the problem and are culpable.

If 90% of people believe that there is a world wide problem that will inevitably get worse and cost lives and they then go and vote in a government that actively promotes this problem...then yes, it is their fault, they are culpable. I'm not saying that 90% of people vote in elections, I'm saying that if they believe in climate change then they sure as hell should be voting. Desantis didn't win with only 10% of Florida voting for him.

Exactly, if 90% of the people in Florida voted with climate change in mind then Desantis wouldn't be in power. All the gerrymandering in the world couldn't change that.

I can't tell you how many bathroom overdoses I've gone to where the changing table is covered in syringes, tinfoil, etc.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a paramedic, those are drug tables, used to prepare drugs. I would wipe them down thoroughly and put a cloth down before changing my girls. I would also only use them if absolutely necessary.

Back in our day we called it having dirt on someone.

It's hilarious that this seems like a joke answer at a passing glance but is actually just a straight up, no nonsense, factual answer.

Who exactly are you saying is corrupt? I'd assume the lawyers sent by SA are in favour of SA, so if that's what you're saying then sure, the lawyers representing SA are definitely working for SA. If you're saying that the ICJ is corrupt and in favour of SA then I disagree and stand by calling that absurd.

I definitely don't understand what you're saying, doesn't make much sense. I do understand that to say the International court of justice, the legal branch of the United Nations, located in Hague; is in the pocket of SA is absurd. SA is sending lawyers to bring the case to the ICJ. Are you saying that these lawyers, sent by SA, are in the pocket of SA or are you saying the judges of the ICJ are in SA's pocket.

The International Court of Justice is in the Hague, in the Netherlands. It's not South African judges. I thought it was apparent but just to be clear I was being sarcastic. It's absolutely ridiculous to say that Judges at the ICJ are in South Africa's pocket.

Ah yes, the super wealthy and powerful SA government that is a world superpower. The ones pulling all the strings with their incredible wealth, massive oil reserves, and huge nuclear armaments. No one could possibly out-bribe the judges if SA is...

SYSK did a good podcast on the zipper merge not too long ago.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's the problem (Ontario anyways), it's not a rule but should be. The zipper merge is the most efficient and safest way but unless it's law most people get all pissy with someone moving to the front while passing them. It should just be mandatory.

True that, still doesn't seem worth the outrage people will have about it years later. Doesn't even seem worth getting miffed about back then. I mean, for how angry people got, they still stuck with Apple.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

"forced". I don't have apple but didn't they just give an album for free that could be deleted if you wanted? Are people upset with having to delete it or do they think that this was the biggest invasion of privacy that apple does?

Didn't see it and didn't have much desire to, I'll check it out now.

Adam sandler will do some solid stuff (uncut gems, hustle) and then some absolute trash (ridiculous six) all within a short period of time.

I LOVED stranger than fiction with will ferrell, still a comedy but different style. I kind of liken it to The secret life of walter mitty with ben stiller. Both did something different that I thought were fantastic movies.
