Thanks! Means a lot. There's a lot of good ones out there. Took a lot of inspiration from other works I've seen.

I did do highlights on the smaller eyes but then I also did gloss the main eye and the smaller ones.

Giving this to a friend. I did previously but I have never found anyone willing to spend anywhere near the worth of the time spent.

I actually have some of those to paint up for the doom boardgame.

Thank you! I try to improve something with each model I paint.

Gloss varnish helped big time with that.

Current job doesn't allow for a lot of free time but maybe some day. Working as a homecare nurse is soul sucking work.

The mini is a Nolzurs Marvelous Miniatures Beholder by Wizkids. I rebased it on a larger base as I wanted room to have fun with the basing.

Thank you! My wife said to paint it orange so it just evolved from there. I am so stoked with how this one turned out.

Phenomenal work! These sculpts aren't easy to make them look good but you nailed it. That texture for the skin is top.

I've done it before but not for this one.

Nah. I didn't do those. A good way to paint the transparent plastics though is to use thinned down glazes or inks as they aren't as opaque.

I also don’t figure orks have red blood. So I used purples to pinks the. Mixed UHU glue and purple to add blood strands.

So I ended up sculpting gore by rolling snakes of green stuff for intestines. From there I painted it purple to contrast the yellow

But because the leviathan was already positioned when I got it it didn’t really work out the way I planned when I tried to put him beneath

The other arm is sawed off and his torso was shaved down because I originally intended to have the foot stepping on the ork...

I chopped and repositioned where the neck was. I used an Orruk brute’s hand from leftover bits. I didn’t even bother with legs...

I did not use a tutorial. I did use the original artwork for this character as a reference for the black lining though.

To offset the warmth of the torch coming from the opposite side (2/2)

Thank you! I was really happy with how the OSL turned out on this dude. I tried to use blue glazes from the other side of the model...(1/2)

I eventually went back to painting it brown but I don’t think I got enough coverage on the green that you’re referring to.

As a partially color blind painter I don’t really see it as much as I think you may. I used Payne’s grey from below as an under shading
