I am a happily married man who builds things for a living, and I own a fireworks store and shoot a professional show every year for 4th of July. I try to find humor and jokes in every situation, even when it's sometimes dark. If you can make me laugh, you rock! If I can make YOU laugh, then I've done my job.
You notice I didn’t post our gofundme link on the account. I didn’t post this to exploit the internet for profit, I needed an outlet to vent
Well I hope if any tragedy happens to you, that others give you more empathy than you’re willing to give. Peace out.
That may have short circuited. Either way it wasn’t negligence, even if it was, it’s still not arson. You know nothing of the situation.
That was a running THEORY. The forensic investigator is leading toward an outdoor plug that faulted/arced, or looking into a battery charger
Forensic investigation results say otherwise. Ignorance has nothing to do with this. Nobody did anything wrong or dumb.
House tested positive for asbestos, so it’s pretty much a 100% loss as far as personal items are concerned
Thank you. At this point the baby is taken care of, lots of people sending stuff for her, wife and I still don’t know what we need,
Ok, it was my house and I chuckled sensibly at this.... especially since our room mate was obnoxiously afraid of spiders.
Yes but “BBQ, or BBQ’er” can be a slang term for grill. But pedantic‘s aside, you probably already knee what I meant.
True, but I am a contractor and I literally built every square inch of that property.... it’s kinda personal
https://gofund.me/e876d85d. That’s the go fund me
We do, but I didn’t post it because I didn’t want to come across as exploiting Imgur for personal gain, I was mostly posting to vent.
Our bedroom is on the lower level of the tri-level, so the window escape was easy. I got a little smoke inhalation, but I’ll be fine
When I found her, fire had blown into the kitchen and smoke was too thick to go out main door so I threw her out the window and crawled out
Correct, wife took baby and puppy out immediately before the fire got inside, I had to find our older dog who went and hid, 1/2
Yes
This is colorado, bbq in the snow is pretty common
I use my bbq and smoker year round... I like bbq more than I hate cold
The home renovation was done during quarantine, so it had JUST been completed
Well, the electronics in the bbq did not survive. It’s like a traeger, just different brand
No, that’s covered in our taxes
Small world, this was in Arvada colorado
I’m not sure if something bumped the firebox, or somehow it came partially opened, but I was outside many times in those 4 hrs & saw nothing
No, the fire started 4 1/2 hours after dinner was done. The device I used had a fire box that was supposed to be secured in the unit.
Most likely the wood pellet pizza oven.
We didn’t drink alcohol that night.
I was outside 30 minutes before it started standing right next to the bbq and I saw and smelled nothing suspicious.
The bbq pellets were in a contained chamber and the fire didn’t start until over 4 hours after I was done cooking.
I know right,? The 25 bottles of whiskey also stings a bit....
Well the pizza and garlic cheese bread I made 4 1/2 hours before the fire was pretty tasty....
