Is that the delta Milwaukee lathe? If so I have the same one and love it. What size hp motor are you using?

You have never played "feed the motor"? In high school we use to put random things in old worm out 305/350 sbc intakes to see what happens

Take it to a shop? I dont under stand those words. Motor rebuild 3k or scrap car for 500. The choice was easy. Donor motor and car ftw
Honestly Its a race b/w trans and motor which will let go first. 3rd/5th sound like marbles in a blender.

Or turn to finish when green and fill with resin/epoxy and embrace the warping..
Get a scale and weight the items every week/month, untill they stop loosing weight. Then turn to final thickness.
