All games I play have the option for 144hz in the menu aswell as i get 300~ fps.
144hz overall is smoother, you can notice it just by moving your mouse on the desktop (I can atleast).
Resolution. So id say 144hz but i havent used 1440p so i cant really say anything about it other than games will deff look more pretty. 2/3

Isn't the Hz how many frames the monitor shows per second? Correct me If I am wrong.
strange how i when i look at 60hz my eyes tries to kill them self from being accustomed to 144hz

That could probably be bad for your muscles, might throw a punch as hard as you can and expect to hit something in front of you due to VR
