Blue Team Sucks!
It’s also interesting to observe opposite actions from people. You can hurt your friends with acts of disservice, or buying a gift that is not thoughtful.
Aaahhhhh I have the same hair at #25, but I can’t get that level of curls!!!
The doing and the thinking and the braining is all like a muscle. With practice you get better and stronger, but you can also injure the muscle from over doing. Your muscles grow during the rest days. And sometimes I just have to talk to myself like I’m a dog “who’s a good boy? Who’s a good boy? Wanna make the bed? Let’s go let’s go let’s go!”. Anyway, I’ve gone off track.
And here’s a neat trick with the timer. At 20 minutes (or other set time) you stop and take a short break, especially if the task is incomplete. This leaves your brain on a cliff-hanger - “that bed is so close to being fucking made”. This makes it easier to pickup again, and maintain momentum. This sounds simple, but there’s other aspects that I can’t articulate in a single paragraph.
Adding to what’s already said. Having a definition of ‘done’ helped me a lot. But the trick was articulating done so that I knew what did NOT need doing. E.g. clean my room so that I can I can sleep in the bed. Tasks include sorting out the bed, but it does not include folding cloths. The pile of shame can fuck off for now. There’s not enough text the describe the nuances of NOT TO DO. But you can combine this with a timer. E.g. I will make the bed for 20 minutes, and then asses the next task.
That’s awesome! My dad has an old G5 laying around that’s too precious to throw away.
