Politicians are bus routes not destinations. You don’t pick the perfect, you take the one headed in the right direction and change when they go off course.

Adding a decimal “point” would be easy if the various snooty metric countries could agree on whether a decimal “point” is a comma or a period.
And Fahrenheit is more precise that Celsius on just where it is on the comfort range. You guys don’t need to keep proving I’m right.

For years you could watch literally every episode of South Park, so I could catch up even after missing several seasons. Yet another sign of late stage capitalism, everything costs money, even if it isn’t worth the cost to make money off the product.
This is my biggest issue with productivity tools. If it takes dedication and focus to get it “set up right”, then Im probably not gonna do it.
I can’t talk about mine. We have new cats, but whenever I even start to think about him the waterworks start. For example I’m tearing up writing this. I’ve always been opposed to the “fur baby” sentiment, but 100% that cat was my first child. Ok, enough post, off to listen to sad songs and stare out the window.
Yeah, the cost economics get crazy and all I ever order is a medium coffee. I’m pretty sure with tax it’s over $5

I saw a video of that super nice dude who is like “your Korean dad” and does videos of saying positive and uplifting things at the viewer, he was super pumped doing “top 3 things you can do to improve your relationship with your dad” and then said “number 1, it’s not your job” and that was all he just said it wasn’t my job and I just cried for like ten minutes and now I’m crying writing this and god damn if I won’t pass along a better model for my kids.
Much unuseless. Such purpose. Wow.
Regulations Suck!… until you reframe them as Consumer Protections following “the incident” and realize that they’re FOR us not FOR businesses
Hell yeah, I remember filling up my truck for more than $100 in 2005. The people bitching now probably also don’t understand that due to inflation you’re getting *more* value on gas to work ratio for your $5 now than we were. $5 used to get you a whole ass value meal at McDs at the same time.
Literally my childhood! Got clowned for wearing new balance when you ordered them out of a catalog, had the lines in my hair, listened to terrible music other people hadn’t heard of. Hipsters had the gall to come along and take all my stupid shit and pretend to like it and make that cool, while I was fine being a swamp troll by myself. Fucking hipsters.
I will keep that in mind if I find myself making last minute reservations on the way to Crater Lake. Bear Valley Lodge isn’t *bad* so much as it peaked a long time ago and it’s hard to keep up when you’re the “off the beaten path” spot.
Bear Valley Lodge. Half the distance, half the price, 1/10th the people. It’s also very close to roughing it, so not for the pampered set who like beds that are comfortable or elevators built in the last 100 years.
