If for any reason you screenshot this and get it to the front page... https://i.imgur.com/keY86zd.jpg
I swear some of the TV shows lately seem like they were written by AI.
A few years back I had a couple years off work due to a spine injury. Could barely walk, constant pain, spasms, woke up frequently every time I tried to sleep due to muscle cramps...but didn't have to go to work. It was the best!
What's messed up is that all that information is out there, and there are people who can access it without you ever knowing. Your ChatGPT records, what you've searched for in Google, the sort of content you pay more attention to on the screen (not limited just to what you actually click on, but what you look at and for how long while endlessly scrolling). That information and more could be analyzed to tell things about us that we might not even know ourselves.
Admittedly it's been a while, but I remember printing reference materials at work cause I couldn't afford to buy the real books. We also used bottle caps, erasers, and whatever else was at hand to map out player/monster locations on a table. It was great fun!
Almost like Trump is intentionally destabilizing and dismantling the country, all while pushing our allies away. Eh?
So many craving a heavenly afterlife, but so often they don't care about making the REAL world a better place. The whole "god is gonna show up any minute so none of this matters" mentality seriously diminishes their ability to give a damn about taking care of our world and for each other. We have the capacity to make life so much better for everyone, if people would just stop being deluded selfish jerks. ๐
I actually passed by the island recently. Surprisingly beautiful aside from, you know...
"If god(s) are just, they will welcome you based on virtue regardless of your devotion. Conversely, if gods are unjust, you should not want to worship them, as they are not worthy of reverence."
Can confirm. I was a "webmaster" in the late 1990s. I think the graphic designers (when involved at all) had some difficulties adjusting to screen vs print.
The timing of the supposed assassination attempt was perfect to secure his victory. I suppose it could have been what it seemed, but the whole thing was incredibly suspicious. Classic way to make the opposition look shady and make him look like the good guy.
If you pause it's the right amount of fingers.
He Who Fights with Monsters is also very good (that was my own first LitRPG experience), but I just finished the available Dungeon Crawler Carl books, and they're great too!
One of my acquaintances blasted a hole through his hand and wrist with a .45 while cleaning it. Got distracted and forgot to clear the round in the chamber. Stupid, but it happens.
Seriously. I'm the only one in my company who is tech-savvy (though certainly not a pro), so I'm the one who gets the phone calls from the old fellas trying to get the magic box to spit out forms.
I genuinely don't understand how so many people are so damn angry about (and afraid of) people trying to be happy in their own bodies and content with who they are. Admittedly I've only known two trans people in my life, but they're both kind and just trying to enjoy life.
We just used a leaf blower to push most of the mess into a pile down by the screen. Swept up one big pile there.
Gandalf himself feared the ring would take him over. He wouldn't even touch it, for fear of what he might become if it overcame his will.
Wait. You guys got land??
Having a really stressful day, and this was nice. Thank you OP.
I've tried quite a few, but the last one was really a mistake. I went from suicidally depressed to 50 lbs heavier and even more depressed. I've since quit those meds, bit I can't seem to lose the weight. Yay!
I'll never understand how people can say that and actually think it's true. Some are, sure, but not ALL. I have a good friend who spent half her life working at an animal hospital caring for injured and sick animals, and then she decided to become an officer to help people. She's not bad. And twice in my life I was badly injured (once in a bad crash, and once I was badly beaten up) and police officers helped me get to safety and medical care. There are absolutely good cops.
I remember back when I was a kid, my dad was watching videos suggesting this tech was used to build the pyramids. Lol.
I remember buying one of the first portable mp3 cd players. Was such a game changer being able to fit so much audio one a single cd.
Could work in 3D. Just need to make sure two of the gears don't touch each other.
I no longer have the time or the energy for my dreams. It's just this until death. https://media4.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPWE1NzM3M2U1dTZuMWx1bXByYXRkMjRiM2t2YnIwcmw0ODYzd2h1MjhzZ3RseWdiNSZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/KYojiQkf9ESju/200w.webp
And many were just left to rot where they had fallen. The US military had license to kill as many as possible, because destroying the buffalo would weaken the indigenous populations that were so dependent on them. Humans are so great sometimes. /s
Probably a bit of a death trap, but it was fun! I tried it a few years ago.
