Ethanol also gets used in perfume and cologne, if you wanna get into some DIY scents. I bought some everclear for that purpose a while ago bc it's cheaper than perfumer's alcohol and had some fun with extracting scents from various nice-smelling plants around the neighborhood.
I'm transmasc, and I've got wicked respect for my transfem friends who do voice training (or decide to forgo it). Y'all definitely got the short end of the stick with what HRT does to your voice. That being said, E is still a miracle - you look incredible! I'm so glad you've gotten to live this life :)
Ha, that's a good one! I just refer to mine as my given name, because I'm still rather fond of it, it's just not...mine, anymore. It's something my parents gave me that I ended up outgrowing.

A dead name is what many trans people call the name their parents gave them. Because this name is often heavily associated with a gender they do not identify with, and tends to carry some heavy emotional baggage, leaving it behind and choosing a new name can be seen as a sort of death and rebirth. The old name is dead to them, so, a dead name.

Herkimer in New York is a great place for it! I only found little ones, but the county is known for its quartz "diamonds." Honestly, that's my guess as to where this was filmed

I think it's got to also be a more recent thing. I grew up in VA and knew that the early settlers had it rough, but this is the first I've heard of cannibalism. We were also taught that Columbus was a good guy who "discovered America" and that the civil war was about states' rights. I'm glad to hear kids are learning a more truthful version of our history.
LP is my favorite band and I've still never listened to their last album. Heard one of the tracks on the radio for a while and always had to change the station. Their music got me through some dark times, and listening to that when I know how it ends...one day I'll be able to do it, but not yet.
