Hey... HEY. Been heard you've been practicing DEI up there, Mr. Sun. We're coming for you.

I think it's reference to the old testament, so the 4000 is more accurate. AFAIK the new testament isn't in the same "thou shalt not" tone.

Source(s)? I'm not aware of a single case of a parent convicted for stopping the rape of their child with deadly force. IAAL.

I have not logged into imgur in over a year. I logged in specifically to upvote this comment. Stitches. Your old-meme game is fucking fire.

I'd be remiss if I didn't add you guys' favorite line from 2011: "When are you gonna stop blaming the last president for current problems?"

You mean like not separating families at the border and focusing immigration policy on violent criminals? Yea what was Obama thinking...?

You're 100% right, if you ignore the last 15 years or so of context.

Unfortunately, right now, it's sort of based only on the "smell test". E.g. 90% red victory in a 40/60 red/blue district prob wont fly.

Correct. And SCOTUS has largely deferred, hoping a circuit court would come up with a good test for constitutionality of lines.

Oh maybe I read your comment wrong. Cruz is a Senator. Not a State Rep. Both are congressmen, however.

Give the responsibility to an independent body, rather than letting the political parties draw the lines.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Very much this. All districts should be drawn to be competitive. Force red to represent blue and vice versa.

... are the problem. Congress can be complicit, and we can vote them out. Turning over the reins altogether is a bad idea.

Sure, but as @hotcakes123 noted - this is only going to make the problem worse, not better. Usually it's the special interests that 1/2

And the Senate is part of Congress. Wow. TMYK.

Yea, as in "we the media." Not necessarily "We here at CNN". Put aside your CNN bias for one second and watch it again. I'll wait.

Thank you. Just because the goal posts moved to the right, doesn't make the center more left.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Or.. here's a thought. Maybe you're far enough to the right that you exacerbate the perceived bias.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Did you even watch it? Hate on CNN all you want, but it's pretty clear he was referring to the media, generally. Not CNN in particular.

No, earth goes thru natural cycles, but we're supposed to be in a cooling phase right now. That's the issue.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Earth does go through natural cycles. Thing is, we're supposed to be in a cooling cycle right now, but the temp is still rising each year...

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

We have eons worth of data studying ice layers. This isn't based on like the 60 years of recorded temps (though they both show warming).

Not 400 climate scientists. Even if they were though, 400 dissenters among tens of thousands in agreement counts as consensus in my book.
