Break the cycle. When I was 10 a mate hugged and joked with his dad. I was shocked. My 10 yr old son hugs and tells me he loves me a lot.
Maybe it’s an American Gods reference, it’s a decent book and show. My wife’s mother is Scottish and that’s where she learned the practice.
My wife always leaves some tea for the fairies. It’s kind of weird.

Was teaching my kids how to do a wheelie. Started out well, overbalanced, flip flop got caught and landed on my back hard. Big oof.
