You can also find me as IPostSwords on youtube. Antique sword dealer/collector and HEMA fencer. Send me photos of your swords. SWORDS. Not penises. Penis tally: 1
Fine, I found some mature gums, released each on a different tree. Around 5.30am, they were plenty energetic. No issues
It's 2.30am here. Waiting for first light and I'll walk them over to some trees and release them there. Re-releasing them in my apartment building would not help them, they'll just get found by some other person and probably killed
My sister will murder or spray and spider she sees. This is the better alternative to letting her do that.
If it was a funnelweb I'd agree, but these are bros
I mean the bags are big and they don't usually know what a bag is - and the bag is moving towards them
I open the bag, put it in front of the spider, and then slide it. Spider goes in, I seal the bag carefully avoiding legs
I think 4 and a half at full extension
No worries - I get it. No one wants to see a loving creature suffer
Poking holes is fine and already done
They're big bags - 38x33cm each (over a foot). Enough air for one night, so I can move them somewhere safe and far from people tomorrow when it's sunny
They're friends
Well, while EDTA is the primary active ingredient in evoporust, it contains other ingredients too (which also vary based on where it is sold). So I use mixtures I have full control over.
I just found a thesis on it, you are right. they are separate technolgies. I had not heard of a supercritical co2 approach before - it seems interesting, though not very viable without a massive pressure vessel (imagine a sword, would need a huge tank.) seems you need anywhere from 40 to 100 MPa of pressure to get good impregnation
Dry ice ablation is a viable option but very expensive. Even renting the machines is cost prohibitive.Because it relies on pelleted dry ice ablating into gas it can also be more energetic than intended
true, the name translates to peasant defense, but the object is a peasants knife.
Will take a long time, but I will. Just the dechlorination step can take weeks, even accelerated with ultrasonic vibration.
video games rarely ever care about historical accuracy or antique swords. Hell, Assassins Creed Origins and Odyssey have the laz bichaq and flyssa in them... 1800 to 2000 years before they existed in real life. And that is one of the more historically centered game franchises
none, i do not believe my life is one worth defending , especially not through lethal means. I have a rifle but would never use it for self defense, and likewise i would never use a sword, despite having several sharp reproduction swords
Hobby, not career. I don't get paid for this.
A spadroon is typically a infantry sword, straight, with a cut-and-thrust blade, and a semi-protective hilt. Examples from McBanes time include things like walloon swords - also called shearing swords at the time. Later on, they became smaller, and often featured single edged blades. Pictured is something McBane may have recognised as a spadroon
Your best bet will be trying to find auction listings for them, but they're exceptionally rare in almost all eras and cultures
A wa gyuto i made years ago with a 370mm long blade.
This particular style of sword was almost exclusively used during dramatic reenactments of the battle of karbala, during ashura, and is therefore literally ceremonial. But highly decorated blades were also used in combat in this era, but on those decorations are typically only found on the lower half of the blade closer to the hilt.
I think some of the images are out of order. But thats fine. I am sure you can figure it out.
In the sword space, we typically see three different models. This one and sellers like it, as well as companies making swords for enthusiasts who try to balance quality and price, and then a small minority that maximise quality even though it greatly increased price. Not all of them are like this, being resellers.
I chuckled.

I'm glad you're not intended to damage them. I rant quite often about the damage people do when irresponsibly cleaning antiques. And I agree, people are reckless with swords. I myself only swing swords near people when they're blunt, and me and my opponent are in full fencing gear.
If you can send me photos - preferably to my business email ( ipostswords@gmail.com ) I can give you advice on maintaining it, given its current condition.
