Exactly, we live in a world where a lot of us have access to an excess of almost everything, and we're not built for it. Even if the thing in question is good for you, like exercise, we can easily get more than we can actually handle and it can mess us up in ways that are difficult to fix.

This is true, however I think the point being made there is that at a certain point, the hypersexualisation becomes your new normal and can, in some cases at least, be detrimental to forming actual human relationships. So in that case, over indulgence in porn can be harmful to your happiness. They're not saying that it's evil or anything, just that people should maybe consider how much the things they do affect them and consider if cutting back would help.

You may have misunderstood me, it's not traffic people are trying to stop, advertisers and investors don't like showing their products off next to adult content, so the only advertisements they can show are the less valuable ones that don't care, so while Medialab will be selling the same amount or more as space, the price they'll be getting for that and space will be dramatically lower as larger advertisers will pull out and blacklist the platform, much like the YouTube ad-pocalypse

A Dresden files reference? In these trying times? I never thought I'd see the day

I'm uncertain to the outcome of the protest, could be it goes back to what it was prior, it could become basically just bots in a dystopian dead internet way, or it could get shut down.
Maybe medialab sells Imgur off and the new owners get to choose one of those options. I would assume everyone knows that and really the driving force now is that no matter the outcome, some form of rebellion, no matter how small, existed, and maybe if Imgur doesn't survive, another platform will.

Well, the new phase of the protest against the current owners of Medialab is to post content that isn't advertiser friendly, so now there's a whole lot of softcore on the FP

That part is in relation to the John Oliver scene pictured in the meme, where John is flipping off his own parent company and saying "Fuck you business daddy"

Medilab buys Imgur
Medialab fires Imgur staff
Imgur gets more ads and more bot content
Mod team replaced with a bot
Eventually notifications get broken
No comms from Medialab
Users get mad
Start flooding the site with John Oliver meme
Mod bot starts handing out warnings for people posting said meme
Users more mad

That's a fancy way of saying "I don't understand why people care about something so I'm going to belittle them to make myself feel better"

I don't like that this is absolutely correct

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

To be clear, I don't think you're getting downvotes for bad panel lining, pretty sure it's just part of the Medialabs protest, keep on hobbying

I forgot they think that muscles are masculine so anyone with any muscle definition is male, imagine hating fit women? Like, this person has went out of their way to take care of their body and sculpt it into an ideal form and their only response is to think that it's gay to be attracted to them.

Unfortunately for them, we're apparently hyper focused on this one, and as the olden days of the internet taught us, there's nothing quite like weaponised 'tism

Pretty sure the logic boils down to liking women is gay or the alternative stance of strong women means weak men, therefore gay. It's a whole thing with that particular branch of creeps.

Medialabs is the company that now owns Imgur, following this acquisition, the Imgur community team were fired, mods have been replaced by a clanker, audio ads set to autoplay have been added, and notifications have been broken.
Also there has been no communication from Medialabs other than the auto mod handing out warnings for complaining about Medialabs

I think the individual painting guides are in the app now, however their YouTube channel may still have them. If not there are plenty of painters on YouTube that would do the trick, for Warhammer flavour I recommend Duncan Rhodes as he was possibly the most famous GW painting tutorial host and his new videos are in exactly the same, beginner friendly style.

Nice, is it a flexible LED in there or a reflector of some kind?

I was recently informed that those bumper stickers are meant to be read as "If you honk at me, I will assume you are X" rather than the command to announce that you are X by honking and that this may be a sign of autism. Not sure I believe it, but now you have that tid bit too

I thought about those, but I really don't know how small they get, then there's the added bulk of the charging circuit, it could likely be done with the concession that the base was about double the normal height to accommodate the battery and a wireless charging coil

Given the size of microcontrollers these days it's likely very possible, I think the real issue would be getting a battery powerful enough to run it in an extremely small form factor, I wouldn't think the controller and screen would be low voltage enough to use a flat cell

Truly the reason we all browse user sub is to see the weird fetish shit that never makes it to the front page

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a real weird and specific thing to ask, especially as this looks more like an old roller rink than a basement

Joke's on you, I look dumb all the time

I get the point, and to reiterate, I also find it a little dissonant that they are dressed like pin up models at all times, which is really the core issue, any form of regular street clothes would be better as they draw less attention, though I guess anything short of appropriate camouflage is just about the same once bullets start flying

Full Scot here to confirm this is true

I understand what you're saying, however aren't all bodyparts equally vulnerable to bullets? I agree they should probably be wearing some form of body armour if they expect to be shot at, otherwise clothing is just about equal to bare skin at bullet protection.
