Just finished Peter F. Hamilton's Salvation series today. I have Children of Time on my list of books to read next.
It's true. It's impossible to get in an accident if your ride is short. Other drivers can tell you're just going to work and will choose not to hit you.
Depending on where you live, you may qualify for down payment assistance, typically limited to first time home buyers. When we bought our home we didn't have to have any down payment beyond that, and the seller agreed to pay closing costs. Of course how much that helps largely depends on the cost of the house, which once again largely comes down to where you live.
I work for a software development company. The developers work in what are functionally closets and you need a passcode to even enter that part of the building just so they don't get distracted. We're not even allowed to message anyone in development over Teams unless they message us first. But we're also part-time remote so they're not completely dumb about it
My thought process: "Let's list books in the Bible, maybe that will help figure it out. 1) Genesis...oh that's it."
#27 "Intersexual" is not the correct usage. It's just intersex. It's not a sexual orientation, it's a genetic condition
Similarly using "kopsh" as the sound effect for the energy kopesh
I can't speak to how this works for people outside the US, but many US libraries will let you get a card even if you are not a local resident.
That's actually a relatively recent thing. Speedway is based near where I live and it was big news when 711 bought them.
Here's my bud with similar coloration to OP
Brazil
I still use the one I got for Christmas when I was 14. I'm 36.
When I voted (in a red county), a man tried to get in line with a republican party t-shirt. The poll workers make him flip it inside out
Super bizarre to me that this date specifically is one of the top comments, as this is my birthdate
Make Fascists Afraid Again
This is the just-released model for the Star Wars: Legion miniatures game from Fantasy Flight Games.
While backing in I don't have to worry about cross traffic I can't see. It also makes it faster to GTFO of the parking lot at work.
It's a reference to the film "Be Kind Rewind", in which the main characters make low-budget remakes of other films
The company I work for doesn't even have an HR dept. Recruiting brings in candidates, each team does their own interviewing.
My friend became an ordained dudeist to perform my wife and I's wedding ceremony
My wife recently had a hit on a background check for armed robbery of a gas station...when she was 11.
Those are Gozantis (they're from Rebels).
Wow, first time seeing Armada on imgur. Awesome collection!
Gah! Foiled again!
I'm Germany they are called Arschgeweih, which means ass antlers.
Attacks in a round one way or another 2/2
Barbarian, Fighter, Monk, Paladin and Ranger get extra normal attacks. Bards and Warlocks can get it. Every class can do multiple 1/2
Honestly 5e is by far my favorite edition yet. Focuses much more on streamlined play sessions and rp, and balances the classes better 3/2
Each class also has multiple built in subclasses to choose from, which are unlocked at or before level 3. There are also optional feats. 2/2
You still roll or point buy stats, and select weapons, spells, skills. You also select a background (gives skills and rp flavor) 1/2
