It was a typo. My mistake, hence the meme about you being correct
I didn't say the means didn't justify the end. Rather that some of the means (re: killing younglings, rogue padawans, etc.) were not what most would call "correct". That said, perhaps you gotta break a few Midichlorian eggs to make a force omelet.
I mean, I am no star wars scholar, but I think Darth Vader has a couple blemishes on his record. Not the choking the coworker thing (that gets a hold star), but there were at least a few other things that jump to the forefront when it comes to work place misconduct........
Typos happen even after research, but thanks

Don't do this. Look up the man and his legacy first before you post a comment like this. McCraven left the Navy before Trump came into office and had been against him well before he was elected the first time. Funny how people post comments before doing a wee bit of fact checking (and no doubt for little Internet points).

I don't claim to be an expert. But to answer your question, it doesn't have to do with the length of time. It has to do with the mean by which the species came to be in another place/ecosystem/landscape or whatever, and the impact it has upon native (non introduced) species and ecosystems. Most invasive species are a product of anthropogenic introductions, intentional or unintentional. That all said, I encourage you to read up on the topic by reading works written by actual experts.
Tell me you don't understand invasion biology without saying it....
No, no he doesn't. When discussing how "ecosystems adapt", which is an insane statement on its own, I'd recommend viewing things through the lens of geologic time, not human time. Human time is but a fart in the wind compared to geologic time scale. The native/indigenous species have had millions of years of responding (adapting if you will) to selection pressures, so throwing non native domesticated cats into the mix has had and continues to have significant impact on native wildlife.
My mistake, I was hasty in my response. Now that I re read your comment I see what you meant. We are in agreement on this issue (re: cats, feral or otherwise, are a problem). I too studied and now work in the field of wildlife conservation, so cheers and thanks for calling a spade a spade. Cat apologists infuriate me, so apparently I was too quick to respond.
Lots of non scientists here not knowing that domesticated cats are not an indigenous/native species anywhere.....
