Technically we’re a couple, although I’m usually the one browsing memes and stuff late at night and on here 99% of the time. Gamers. Nerds. Cinephiles. Bi as fuck.

The rhythmic motion is almost…Lyracal.

I’ll see myself out.

I mean, given the tier rankings in #46, everyone in the $4 and $5 categories is a force-user, with Leia being the least experienced in terms of that. Han, my boy, is great, but it’s a little tough to compete with Jedi and Sith in terms of any battle.

Especially when someone like Anakin has even been described as both “the best star pilot in the galaxy” and “a cunning warrior”.

But, of course, Old Ben would never mislead anyone. No…

Cancer. It was fucking cancer yet again. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/14/arts/television/andre-braugher-cause-of-death-lung-cancer.html

I believe on the same date, comedian and musician Kate Micucci also announced a diagnosis (and undergoing treatment) for lung cancer, but hers was a more rare case of occurring in someone who had never smoked or been knowingly exposed to some high risk factors, whereas Andre Braugher had been a smoker (and a drinker) before quitting them.

Oh, I hadn’t actually noticed you were also the one making the correction, and I 100% appreciate the update.

It was more directed at whatever source originally cropped out the credit, or generally speaking at people who try to actually *hide* credits, more than anyone who just didn’t happen provide a source.

Not at all blaming the person who posted this earlier, and I realize this is rhetorical, but who the fuck crops off the artist’s credit from a cartoon (political or otherwise)? 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m not sure if I’m missing a reference here, but maybe if you aren’t inviting some of us over for Mario Kart, and limiting it to single men, that might be reducing the chances of being less single?

Exactly. Is the game disappointing in a number of ways? Of course. Is it the best game this year? Not at all. But there is still a lot of enjoyable content in the game, at least to me, and I have enjoyed many of the quests and the exploration, even when it does often enough result in the same copy and pasted set of facilities and structures more often than I’d like.

“I’m insane”

I mean, I’ll go with insane…ly talented, because the dedication to your craft, and yourself, is quite impressive, especially when five years of it is compiled into a single minute. A fantastic job that we all thank you for sharing, and we also are looking forward to seeing what the next five years will bring too!

Likewise representation in the legislative body, beyond the gerrymandering and voter suppression that produces many seats that don’t represent their population, you have the senate: two per state. So it doesn’t matter if it’s a state like Wyoming (approx 578k residents) or California (approx 39.24 million) with almost 68x as many citizens, it’s still just 2 votes in the senate.

And a majority of these small states heavily lean R.

For one side to gain a foothold, it needs to (2/3)

I would argue that voting can and does solve issues, but that the system is indeed rigged in such a way, following archaic rules from a totally different era, that massively favors one of the two main parties (which itself is an issue, as you acknowledge), which is that much tougher to overcome.

As many of us know, on national level, the Republican candidate for president has only won the popular vote *once* in the past 30 years, and yet, has won the presidency three times during that span. 1/2

Of all the loving tributes from those who knew and worked with him, Marc Evan Jackson (Kevin on B99) keep it perfect in its simplicity:

You talking giving, receiving, or the ultimate; both?

#27 True, but Din also reinvested into his business by getting all that shiny Beskar made into armor, it wasn’t just for the bling.

Also, #25 seems like missed opportunity to say that you won’t settle for anything less than “the very best”.

A lovely dump as usual!

Morning brain and night brain share that similarity all too often, it’s just “the rest of the day brain” that sometimes isn’t quite lined up.

(Also, I did not expect you to drop a Metal Slug reference in your post this morning, but here we are.)

Also worth noting that Matt Groening was 35 when The Simpsons premiered, and is now only 14 years younger (soon to be 13) than Abe Simpson.

Yep, and I believe a recent(-ish?) episode even acknowledged the multiple origin stories of Marge and Homer meeting, or how the kids came to be and all that. Homer was remarking something to the effect of remembering growing up in the late 60’s/early 70’s, and then was trying to remember if it was the late 80’s/early 90’s.

If he’s perpetually 39, they have to keep moving that.
