I feel like the magnitude of the two deaths (both thematically and in terms of plausible survivability) are quite far apart. Hence the "super-duper".

There are many countries where different ethnicities are treated differently by the law, the government, the system, and the public. But Israel is one of the few places where this discrimination is actually spelled out, black on white, as part of the official laws.

Didn't he, like, super-duper-die at the end of 3?

The fact that there are actually six books is a fun piece of LotR trivia I don't come across too often. I feel like it shouldn't be such a "secret", considering how they usually come with full title pages and stuff, right in the beginning and middle of each of the three commonly seen volumes.

#2 They were enchanted. And also, it was the war, he probably hadn't tasted anything sweet for months.

Nonono. You don't get it. He is voting absentee, which is fine. (Yes, this is his actual opinion on the subject. Or, at least, it was years ago. Who knows what it is now.)

In general, no. But when it comes specifically to entrenching the two-party system, that seems to be bipartisan more times than not.

That's a huge part of what self-destruction is, though.

Back when "character" was decided by whether they had a 5 o'clock shadow, or misspoke a word in a speech, that was a bit overboard. But in the current climate? Yeah, character means a LOT.

I'm not one for despairmongering, but I suspect the democratic party doesn't really want that either.

The "single issue" thing would be easier to get rid of if you guys had had an election system that doesn't inevitably converge to two parties. Once you have half a dozen parties (or more) to choose from, a single issue will at best leave you with two parties you still have to decide between. So you need at least one more issue. And I think that going up from one issue to two is a larger step than going up from two to five or ten.

Low hanging fruit. That's what this is.

The story goes that as he turned them in, he told the lecturer that he thought they "seemed to be a little harder than usual". Also, it didn't earn him his PhD on the spot, because that's not how that works. He got his PhD 7 years after this took place. But presumably the publication of his solution to these two problems contributed greatly.

That's not how RAM works though. How much RAM you have doesn't matter AT ALL until you don't have enough and at that point things stall completely. If you have a computer that (somehow) runs fine at 4GB, it won't run better at 16. And if you have a computer that needs 16, it won't just be slow at 4, it simply will not work at all. THAT'S the simple explanation of how RAM works. Or not exactly how it works, per se. You know what I mean.

Yeah, but SleeperKid isn't gonna be the one to do it, and it's not gonna go their way.

That's a dangerous play. They might just as well argue gays were made gay as punishment for some unspeakable sin, or that gayness exists as a test to see which are the true believers who come out and fight against it. God's ways are ineffable.

If someone is making a living off of making videos on youtube, tanking their own revenue by actually using words like suicide, rape, or pedophile is not a good idea. It doesn't matter how much you, ToolPackinMama, grandstand about principles. Livelihoods are at stake, and youtube calls the shots. It's as easy as that.

Anatidaephobia isn't actually a thing, though. Just like the luposlipophobia. Thagomizers were real, however, and that is indeed what they are called now, in honor of late Thag Simmons.

#16 That last one isn't really a thing, it's a word someone came up with without there being an actual clinical need for the word to exist. Like Gary Larson's luposlipophobia.

Did you know that you can inform the military leadership of your allies about your plans to invade Iran and still not lose the element of surprise? It's funny how that works.

In my opinion, if you don't vote, you lose your right to complain about anything the politicians do (or should do but don't).
