I wish more people understood that adding co-op to single player is what's good, and not building around the multiplayer element itself. YES, I want to be able to play with friends, but I want it to be OPTIONAL. Build the game around a great single player experience, make everything reasonably fair for solo players, then add co-op and TEST it so that it doesn't break anything. That's good enough. That's what "multiplayer" should mean. Hopefully BL4 is like the other Borderlands games...

You misunderstand. It's ~our~ turn to flood the zone.

Regardless of why you choose to financially assist me, via Ko-Fi (https://ko-fi.com/hextator) or Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/hextator), it's much appreciated. I'm worried that it may be too little, and too late - the best time to help me would have been when the Fire Emblem community was ridiculing me for asking for financial assistance around 10 whole years ago - but I have NO money to travel. It's bad.

Maybe you just think it's cool that I wrote my own collision code for Ocarina of Time so that Link can fight against Hyrule instead of saving it, or that I spent however many hundreds of hours using code I'd written to dump hidden stats so that I could write the most comprehensive Borderlands 3 guide there is, or that I was able to complete a large chunk of Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts without a vehicle, despite that the game is designed around building and using vehicles.

You could say you're donating to thank me for reverse engineering the animation systems of Phantasy Star Online 2 and the Game Boy Advance Fire Emblem games. You could say it's a show of gratitude for the custom weapons that I added to Mischief Makers, or the full 4 player co-op mode that I added to Jet Force Gemini. Maybe you're donating to me so that I can afford to continue to work on my video editor and computer vision research.

If it bothers you, you don't have to tell yourself that you're donating to me because I'm a disabled trans woman who is trapped in a conservative hellhole after decades of being abused. You could tell yourself you're donating to me to thank me for spending 300 hours to decompile the fusion system of Kid Icarus: Uprising. You could tell yourself you're thanking me for releasing the in-game equipment editing software.

and idk how much I agree with all of her positivity, but you have everything to gain and nothing to lose by calling your reps (and yes, she does want you to call even if your reps are repubs)

IIRC the important takeaways were
- Catch your breath and avoid letting the zone flooding overwhelm you; focus on what you can do
- Understand that what you can do is enough
- People ARE acting, you just don't see it because the right wing media doesn't cover it
- CALL your reps; nothing affects them quite like calling does (they pretty much just ignore e-mails)

Incidentally, we could stand to fortify our list of rights with the inclusion of more rights, and better definitions of what our rights are. One of those rights should definitely be "freedom from fear of being persecuted as a consequence of bigotry", which is where my proposal for punitive responses to nazi imagery comes from. I think the Germans have some laws that were written to defend democracy, if anyone wants more inspiration.

An IQ test won't work. Without going into the bigoted history of IQ testing, or the incomplete picture of intelligence that such tests provide, the foundational restriction should not ban people who are unintelligent from politics, but rather, it should ban infringement of inalienable rights. We defined such rights, but we don't judicially respond to all rights violations. We have to respond to ALL such violations...even just people brandishing swastikas should be prosecuted.

it's definitely both

so I checked your post history to see if you've been posting here regularly, and I found another pic from this set that you posted in august...the lighting, your pose, and your facial expression in that one are ~intense~ (and so is that lipstick color)

* to a "comment" I'd made; oops

they can, but it's harder for them to handle that many since it divides their attention more

(for those who don't know, right wing trolls make fake reports of "at risk of suicide" to reddit's staff about any posts by trans people that they don't like, so getting a "reddit cares" message is seen as a rite of passage for trans people who use reddit)

I literally had someone on reddit tell me I was overreacting and that there's no trans genocide while simultaneously chewing me out for telling them to correctly gender the non-binary video game character from the game we were talking about. Then I went to another subreddit and saw someone replying to a commend I'd made by saying that trans people were getting what they deserve, re: the passport nonsense, and then I found a "reddit cares" message in my inbox.

it could, but in this case it'd be because the things on the screen may not be very good for setting up pixel perfect crosshair alignments (hard to tell with the cropping, but e.g. the buildings at the bottom would help for the 1st shot). we used a similar tactic for backflipping over the gate to the haunted wasteland in ocarina of time 3DS, and an enemy that always spawns in the same place, moving the same way, isn't much different from a stationary gate.

did you mean to say "he really may not have been"

oop forgot to mention...the reason the angle you approach from would matter is because you wouldn't want to load the target too early so you'd have to come from the side you'd be shooting from (if it works that way; again, no idea)

1 year ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

idk anything about botw asset loading (never played) but my initial guess was there was some angle of approach that caused the target to spawn at a specific location with a predefined velocity/travel direction and then all the player has to do is memorize where to shoot. wouldn't even take hours of practice in that case

that's not what ACAB means. ACAB means the good ones can't function because of how they're limited by the bad ones. their role is bastardized, and many of them become bad by association anyway simply because they don't do enough to interfere with the bad behavior of their coworkers. hence, all cops are bastards.

also i hope that guy isn't screwing around with their kid while on duty??
