It's a lossless image (you can make it hyooooge without it getting pixelated) usually made in a program like Adobe Illustrator.

My reasoning is that if i did it to my own wall i'd see it all the time & go crazy picking out all the little bits that are wrong with it
it's sort of both. The green was done with paint and a brush but the black was done with paint in a marker...
