Yeah, fuck this. Let’s load more shame and guilt on the guy who wants to kill himself to keep you from seeing his shame and guilt, because he didn’t feel supported by any of you. What you feel is on you, don’t pile more on the others who are suffering to try to guilt them out of what they are legitimately feeling - he has a right to hurt, maybe if you gave a little more shit when he was alive, he might have felt more open to share. Accept your blame too.

Ok, come on now…having the baby in class and consolable, that’s fine. It’s when the toddler comes to class and the parent lets the kid run all over the auditorium, loudly disrupting everyone else’s right to attend class that I have a problem with…ask me how I learned this…
Absolutely, and the general public has *no* idea…
Look up the Public Duty Doctrine; essentially says that the police have *no legal obligation to protect or help an individual* - there is no liability here. It’s terrifying.
Ooh ooh, the “Ozempics”! “Look boy, I made a funny!”
That steer has a nice rack, but it ain’t a longhorn. Just saying.
AND he married Alexis Bledell, you know, Rory Gilmore
How bad is it that I am not a little jealous of the cat?
Living his best life man; I am so envious.
“Gollum gollummmm”
Somewhere in Time; the way she looks at him when he enters the room during the photo session - I have been searching for that look my whole life. “Come back to me…”
All dog whistles, statistically speaking most men do not injure *anyone*, and also statistically speaking, *women* are far more likely than men to injure a child AND are just as likely to initiate intimate partner violence (battery) as MEN. Stop the shilling crap and don’t buy into the nonsense.
That’s like a new “Wilhelm scream”!! A star is born!
How about also stop telling women they can just do what they find “fulfilling” whether they can support themselves or not? Then standing with a hand out and gleefully accepting, nay, demanding alimony from the men they “don’t need” to subsidize their poor choices! Get off the dole ladies, you are strong and capable - support your damn selves.
Well the appeal (and the bond requiring the deposit of funds in the registry of the court) usually has to take place within 30 days…
…to be strong, self sufficient and their own people. Then wife decides, well, “too much water under the bridge” and 25 years worth nothing; no infidelity, no real fights, no politics, no habits - just “bye” and “could you pay me for years for not working, or being a real partner, or appreciating anything [I] tried to do”…I could never show anger or frustration or heartbreak or desire. I was expected to love without question and ask nothing in return. I think many men face this.
Even trusted people often end with a “whelp, is it out if your system? You got mouths to feed, so get back to it.” I have been reading about men lamenting that their mothers were the only people who ever loved them unconditionally, and I get it now. I am what I can provide, I am only respected when I bring home the paycheck - and even then, I represent the evil “patriarchy” and don’t have the right to have an opinion. And this is in a house full of progressive, crunchy women that I encouraged …
That is only for women; body shaming any man for any issue is open season and perfectly acceptable. /s
“I just wanted me some CORNBREAD!”
Isn’t working for me either; first year divorced, married 3 months before 9/11, and together for 5 years before that, so 24+ years. Two teenagers, lives torn up, finances in this economy in tatters. No cheating, no violence, not many fights. Over educated, communication not a problem - I gave her the checkbook, she could do what she wanted, chose to drift for a decade while I worked (and worked), got into therapy to find out why her life wasn’t what she expected - they tell her it’s me.
/2 …bought dozens of instantly destroyed toys, talked kindly to him and made special food when his stomach was sour…I told her once she spent more time with the dog than she did with me, and I was the one with the job. She took the dog when she decided to file for divorce. He was a good boy. You mean those dogs?
