A quick glance at imgurians will get you so many examples of classic American stupidity, you don't need to go look for stories on other platforms. Most of these seem to be from comedian acts, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen in real life.
The educational systems purpose is to train workers (from a capitalist point of view), if it is not doing that, it is failing capitalism. I don't think that's what the educational systems should do from my point of view, but that's a different discussion.
