I wrote something about myself but it didn't come up. So I tried typing it instead.

The difference in time frame is 'immediately' vs 'not at all'. Also, it's not a democrat issue, it's a government issue. Maybe if the dems had free run of the place the price of literally everything wouldn't have doubled in one year, but they don't, and it did, and nothing has or ever will be done about it. Which is Bad.
I wonder how many people before 1781 saw Uranus under 'ideal conditions' but it was always gone before they could tell anyone.
(I think the key distinction here is that it is a bench with dead people in it. Most benches don't have dead people in them!)
It's not bad that they reacted quickly to attacks on trade, it's bad that they don't react as quickly to attacks on, say, basic human decency. Or for that matter, don't react at all to -internal- attacks on living standards (Such as the rampant price gouging the past few years. It's okay when rich white people do it!).
