That's... sort of what I was thinking too. Starting businesses, and engaging in the world we live in isn't ~the evils of capitalism~ everyone is talking about.

Similar to defending the IDF because "I have a gun too! I'm just like them, do you hate me because I'm like them?".
It's about the use and leverage of capital that is rooted in feudal, landlordism, and the creation of unbreachable or simi breachable economic social class.

how did you get $$ for those businesses, the first one especially? Earnest question. I'm not trying to gotcha. I just want to engage with your point a bit.

you may hit me with a snarky comeback but idk, it was fun learning that the first time for me and I'm a commercially licensed informer of things so I got excited to share the perspective.

but genuinely the distinction they're making here is liquid capital (money in the bank) and assets like real estate, or more nebulously like a large share in a monopoly.

Market + Capitalism = Market Capitalism. You can have a market economy (money for goods, and even money for investing) without being capitalistic.

Capitalism (at least in this context) is a system that leverages capital (real estate, businesses etc) to extract wealth from others.

Personally. I keep it up my ass. That way only Jesus and the little green men can get it. It accrues something like %12 interest but it's pre-tax, so multiple extractions are not optimal.

Sorry if it sounded like I was downplaying the imprisonment of an entire people. It's wrong without question.

The only time I've come into contact with the claim that China has been organ harvesting it's come from the most bizarre and brainwashed corner of the information sphere, so I try to counter it. I'll read your article and reevaluate how I respond

Falling Gong. That's the name of the cult group. They do lie about organ harvesting. Had to cancel one of their shows at our venue because it's a public institution and we do have a duty to the truth. They're far right and anti communist and supported blindly by republicans. That's why I interjected.

I don't know much or anything about organ harvesting done to the uighur people, but I can say that's it's genocide. China is in the wrong no matter what and I don't stand behind them 1/2

The organ harvesting claims are not true. Wild story and do fact check but those claims come from a far right, cult-group (funded by the US, obviously) that has been spreading their message and ideology to the US for years through traditional dance performances. You've probably seen an ad for one of these Chinese ballets and not know it. One of the cult's claims is that China has been harvesting their organs. This ties into their religious beliefs, and it's simply not true.

I'm from the Ozarks. Making hooch is like our one positive native industry. My grandpa makes a drink he calls spoliotti (spoh-lee-Oh-tee). This drink starts with a base of sprite and apple chunks from his property. It's... It's not bad

I think social media has revealed itself as a potent, high octane propaganda machine. We millennials grew up with a less potent strain, so we're inoculated more or less. Like getting exposed to weak strains of viruses. Today's youth have a much more sinister strain to encounter, and at an earlier age. No one asked but I'd say it's more dangerous than fast food, but less than alcohol.

You know I deeply deeply think this is the way. No more children on sites that radicalize them. How could we even enforce it? Idk. You got me thinking this morning, stranger, and I appreciate it

THIS!!!!! it's like that in schools too. Especially title 1 schools. Skeleton crew by design. I can see why corporations do it in their own businesses, why the fuck are we letting it happen in schools!?
