Just a dude trying to muddle through life a little better tomorrow than he did today. I enjoy exploring the world, making new friends, and just enjoying life as best as he can before the bucket gets kicked.

LIberal Germans loved what happened to them during bombing runs.

Just saying.

Didn't they get murdered by the SS? Night of the Long knives? And then we had the decade of Nazi Dictatorship?

At least, that's how I'm remembering it.

No, it was spousal abuse.

Having lived in France, you can get on a train and be to the other side of the country in 5 hours, for ~70-150 euros or less.

In my state, it takes about 4 hours by car. And most of that is corn fields.

My state to DC is about a 9 hour drive. And doesn't have public transit. And we're a close state. Seattle would be a 40 hour drive.

Yup. Landed or Working > Working 24/7 > Hunted by the law until executed.

It's a pretty simple order for which one you'd want to be. I like alive and hope for comfort.

Imagine being a rare jungle flower who flowers only last for one day, and who produces a flavor so delicious and rare that it become synonymous with wealth, deliciousness, and joy - to somehow being described as "boring"

I'm envious of the move! I don't think you need to be trans to have dodged bullets - though based on the old German book burnings, trans were first then, and they sure as hell are being first now. Good on you for getting to safety.

Well yeah. But you're acting as if imprisonment or death hasn't always been the option for resisting the ruling class

Yeah. It's a total joke. There's a reason we have more guns than people in the USA. It's... because it's a business. Americans don't matter. American money matters. That's all there is to American politics anymore, and it makes me incredibly sad. If you just think "Will this make a business money?", then you can just about always guess what the law is, or is going to become.

I believe in the theory that if you're undecided you've already decided... but you don't want to tell people you're voting for Trump because it's that weird.

yurp. It's a German norm I'm very familiar with: I'll be the weirdo that just crosses the empty-for-ages street and get the weird looks. It doesn't bug me

You know, that feeling is one of the only things that keeps me hoping in an afterlife - like what's the point if we aren't all main characters in our own way? That being said, just because everyone's experience is main character worthy, ya gotta understand that other folks have one.

The way it works in the US, is that our trains carry freight to core hubs, and then from there Semi-trucks go to final destinations. So.. Tons of them. What happens is that trucking companies will speed-governor (mechanically force) trucks to max out at 65 mph. Most people drive 70-85 mph on the highway. A huge amount of our highways are 2 lanes, so when a truck is going 65 mph, and another is 65.1 mph, to earn more money, the trucker will pass. Slowly. As fuck. and it happens - all the time.

I'm curious to see what the overall effect will be. As of now, because the bullet was wide: not much.

depends on where SE ohio. But it's appalachia - so having been there a lot, I like the mountainous regions, wildlife, & hiking. Some of the prettiest parts of the USA, imo.

Is this from the files release? or from earlier?

*shrug* I like Cincinnati. And certain parts of the cleveland.

But most people only know ohio from the 75 & 71 corridors. Which are boring af (sorry Bowling green & toledo) but the South East is super cool and pretty if folks have never been.

Remember, *Protestants*. In the Catholic church it was considered heretical to even believe Witches could exist. I'm a protestant myself, but certain denominations go a bit crazy in a very different way than Catholicism.

As someone who wants to be a non-US citizen: We're trying!! My one little vote can't outpower the world-wide hegemony that is Fox news, but I have my little vote I always put in at least.

I've enjoyed updating my Mazda 3. But it's gotta be done with a Flash Drive. When you want. and it doesn't spam you for updates - because it isn't connected to the internet. There's just such easy ways to do this kind of stuff.
