Sadly that's not quite true, renting requires higher insurance costs and the landlord is responsible for maintaining the residence. (Repairing normal wear and tear and making major repairs as things break.)
I say this not to support over charging increasing rent, just saying that usually rent has to be higher than a standard mortgage payment to cover property costs even if the landlord was seeking no profit at all.

I don't think making a hobby a huge chunk of your personality is an addiction, I just think it's a life choice. If you spend all your time doing ren faire stuff and then base your life around that I wouldn't think of it as an addiction I would think it's just what someone likes and they know how to make themselves happy and I think that can be the case every hobby.
If you are actively shirking responsibilities or spending outside your means to support your hobby it's likely closer to addiction
Clonidine knocked me right tf out, which was great. But the downside was it wore on all the next day, I think I only took it for 2-3 days because I feel asleep at the office. But I wasn't on a second ADHD med, I imagine it could have been great to take in combination, because on the normal med I feel great but don't sleep.
My grandfather, a birdlover, who kept geese and swans on a small farm let me understand that all birds are assholes but for the most part all birds of the size catagory are roughly the same. Legally I think it's been ruled on in a few countries that games cannot be streamed without the creators permission. We have a little fountain for our cats but one of my cats favorite water is the cup I use to refill the fountain. He will drink from the cup forever but once it's in the fountain he loses interest. I love these silly little guys.

I know for a fact my cats will go anywhere they want when I'm not in the room, I fuss at and chase my cats when they are somewhere I don't want them to be and it works well and they don't mind to much. They don't do bad things when I'm there but if I hide it's right to the counters. I just clean my counters before I do anything and don't keep food on the counters.

I've been in a moral battle with myself recently because in my early 20s I bought a started home in a low income area and have made continuous improvements while I lived here. Now I'm looking to sell and there's no way someone like me could afford the new price of the home, but I also can't sell it for what it was worth or I would be out quite a bit. I know this isn't specifically what we mean but I do think about how I have possibly removed the opportunity to buy for another young person.
