I can't remember a time one of our PF paladins used spells anyway. Mostly just the holy defibrillator, but Cap does that with diplo.
Cap is a paladin - he gets CHA to saves, super tough, gains bonuses to attacks against evil...just traded away spells for a ranged archetype
