I too, choose this guy’s ex-wives
Excellent read on this - studies and stories of why people survive and why some don’t. Biggest takeaway was, a consistent portion of any population are aware ‘do-ers’, a portion freeze, and a portion panic. Best results are when the do-ers order around those that freeze, and abandon those that panic. Also, ‘do-ers’ are over-represented in occupations such as teachers, nurses, firefightershttps://www.thriftbooks.com/w/deep-survival-who-lives-who-dies-and-why_laurence-gonzales/250195/
Ahead of their time…. Also, um, have you gone outside into public lately? You may find more things difficult to get over out there lately…. Godspeed.
Can confirm. I live 4 miles from the stadium. It’s built in the middle of a swamp. Much like the Dead Marshes, but the dead are from the mafia instead of soldiers. Built on land no one could live or walk on - backfilled with landfill - It’s a stadium built 10 miles from NYC in 1980, there wasn’t lots of spare room near NYC for a stadium, so they engineered it in a swamp. Don’t follow the lights.
Where the hell is congress??
Only 10 mos left to deploy in the cities of the rest of the swing states before the mid term elections
It’d be a shame if he hit a pole… It’d be a shame if he hit a pole… It’d be a shame if he, OH DAYUM!
Um… that may be the first time those words have been written in that order on the internet…

‘Better than announcing layoffs’ there’s a PR consideration, but there’s also a human element to that - you’d rather people make the decision to leave rather than make the decision for them… so those who are leaving are hopefully doing so with a plan… neither are ideal, but workforce planning can be a challenge of lesser evils
[workforce planning management consultant here]RTO (return to office) is a strategy that has a planned and baked-in attrition rate at this point. There is enough data provided by consulting firms that I’ve seen wherein they estimate the ‘voluntary attrition’ that will result based on employee distances from office and a slew of other factors. Sometimes leadership truly sees value in being in office… Worst cases, I’ve seen it done because it’s better than announcing layoffs.
I am not ticklish in my belly button…I DON’T like being tickled, and I am ticklish elsewhere (feet particularly). Since my eldest son was old enough to want to tickle me, I’ve lied that I’m VERY ticklish in my belly button, and acted as such since. 2 kids and 14 years later, they’ve not tried finding any other spot.
Ah, the nostalgia of my childhood…. Never fun, but it brings me comfort to know I’m doing better with my kids
