Agree about Hammer but I just couldn't get on with Manticore. Maybe I'll give it another try. Which songs do you recommend from it?

A literal fuckton of people descend from Willy the Conq, and that's without unknown descendants. My wife, for example.

Good to see the guy who played Cesare Borgia is keeping busy.

Wasn't this debunked? Fun story, but the immigrants are part of the reason Welsh is thought of as dying due to percentages...

Why are you getting downvoted? You speak the truth, as my wife's kickass body after pregnancy attests; if you're sensible, you won't get fat

I hate to be that pedant, but as a peer of the realm he cannot stand for a seat in the Commons.

I'd get behind him for his enjoyment of Lovejoy alone.

Their product's fake then, is it? I never bought anything from them myself, though I did know of a girl stole a massive packet of the stuff.

Better than the dope dealers we used to have on that bridge at that precise spot. Thems were different times. Anyone else remember?

Motorbike instructor explained to me that a lot of those shoes are the ex-property of bikers who came off. Few happy endings, there.

We don't do facts here boyyo, only groundless prejudice. Get away with your stats.

Unraveling the Tora behind him is genius.

Very few landlords were evicted during the clearances; they were the ones doing the evicting. Those who were, were rarely replaced by anyone

Always interesting to read these things in comparison/perspective.

Guessed it before I hovered over it. +1, sir or madam.

Almost identical to when I introduced my wife to Skyrim; just replace Nord with Breton and you're there, basically.

My sister died yesterday. Make the most of them while they're here.

From the title, I thought this poor dog was about to get struck by lightning.

Can't help with the second question, but as to the first, it's Blackadder. Well worth a look, but start with series 2!

You can legit skip series 1; each series exists in its own "bubble." Start with 2 and go from there; return to 1 later if curious.

Heh alright, no worries. I might just try making it myself, actually!

#4, those men are wearing gas masks specifically to mitigate the effects of the onions. Apparently, it worked a treat.

Yeah, do you know the stuff I mean? You get it in packets, just gooey cookie mix with chocolate chips. Can't find it in the UK at all.

What would an American like in exchange for cookie dough? Because you can't get that ANYWHERE in the UK.

Franklin Pearce's horse has a frighteningly small head.

They wouldn't actually turn off their engine AFAIK, merely throttle back. No guarantee you could ever get those engines started again.

Only in America. Growing up in England, there was huge emphasis on the fact the Russians won the war.

That movie is banned in parts of Russia. It's horribly, horribly inaccurate.

Even more impressive when you consider English isn't his first language.
