I was taught at home with Nerf guns, then again with empty firearms, then at the range with hot ammo, at all times by my spouse. If I had at any point during that process done this, they would have fully tackled me for the safety violation. Even a shown clear gun could have a squib bullet cooking and jammed in the barrel, you can't assume. A gun is never safe until it's in pieces in front of you, and even then you gotta be cautious. She doesn't need to be banned, but maybe removed for a dayish
