The house that is being metaphorically burned down is the people's house. Through generations of the US, true leaders have emerged to sacrifice everything they might value personally for a small bit of progress towards democratic inclusion and representation. The goal is an ever evolving call to get more people in that house. They want to burn it down because they have been fooled into restating hateful nonsense, which fosters condemnation and rejection. They feel resentment for that judgement.
