This is my public profile, so I wrote something about myself.
But no, you're right... it was probably purely to spite me.
Right-front wheel of every single cart. I can think of dozens of reasons why they would; from anti-theft to psychology of shopping...
Each and every cart had a flat spot ground into a single wheel, creating the most godawful ruckus I have ever heard in a store.
Stores do this shit on purpose. I remember going to a Walmart one day... brand new, perfect wheels on every single cart. A week later...
Takeda's Gyuto had been my holy grail for over a decade. Finally pulled the trigger late last year and holy hell; amazing in every way.
chopped down a 20" diameter Sago Palm, and even got the stump out of the ground. Not the right tool for the job, but it worked.
The Estwing is about $30, versus the ~$150 of the GB. If you can justify the price difference, I'm sure it's worth it, but my Estwing (cont)
For those of you who enjoyed DDLC (and who didn't? What a masterpiece!) consider checking out Dear Esther. Sadly, no longer free.

I don't regret many gaming purchases. The War Z is chief among that list, though. Never have I seen such flagrant disregard for customers.
Many promises, none delivered upon. Banned players for poor reviews. Banned players for no reason at all. Shady, shady developer.
The War Z saga in a nutshell: purpose built to siphon money from the success of DayZ mod. Was removed from Steam at one point. (1/2)
Devil's advocate: within the confines of the law, is there such a thing as a bad place/time? His actions prove he is a sane/rational owner.

+1 for the Lansky. Just got back from a trip to my grandmother's house in which I sharpened all of her kitchen knives on the ol' Lansky set.
Good stuff, OP. I'm busy trying to rehandle an old rat tail fillet knife into a faux full tang. One more round of epoxy to go!
VG-10, in the form of a Spyderco Dragonfly, has been in my pocket for at least 1400 of the last 1460 days. Love that knife pattern.
False. The Spyderco Cricket was made in VG-10 (and ATS-55 for the FRN version.)
