In Australia, we have a solid public system and also private health insurance. The public system is good and everyone gets the healthcare they need. The private health insurance will give you better doctors, private rooms in hospitals instead of a ward, covers dental, and all sorts of health benefits such as acupuncture, chiropractors and remedial massage. Depending on the plan. Private insurance is worth it, but isn’t needed. No one misses out.
That’s messed up. Your job sounds essential but shouldn’t exist at all.
