The Netflix show is a great way to start.
By far my fav character,
At the core it's the same story with the same major beats and themes. They cut down or even leave out a lot of the sub plots and many side characters. But they do a really good job at preserving what makes One Piece One Piece.
As someone with depression I can say that the one about depression isn't really helpful. Depression starts way sooner and part of the problem is, that people only seek help (if ever) when they're already in an extremely bad state. Seek help sooner so it doesn't come to that. Also part of being depressed often is the "what am I complaining about? others deal with this just fine."
I remember that info post about dog nostrils and after that how every dog post was rated by how healthy its nostrils were. Good times. Let's do it again.

Honestly I kinda agree. Not every RPG needs this kind of scope and freedom. It's ok to create more focused things. That said, I hope every future Singleplayer Open World Action RPG that's still full of micro transactions gets rekt in reviews. There is too much uniformity in AAA games these days I feel. Glad someone like Larian can swim against that mud flow, creates something unique and hopefully be massively successful.
In Europe even foreigner (from other EU countries) living there can vote in local elections like majors and stuff.
