A memory called empire bu arkady Martine is very fun sort of space opera about a diplomat to a multi planet empire with political intrigue, murder snd ghosts in people's heads. Also three seagrass (enpire names are number noin), the diplomats liason is an adorable gremlin. I'm currently rereading the hobbit, but everyone knows that's great already.
