Just an old welder guy, and a machinist, oh and a laser cutter operator. Hell, at this point in my life the list of things I can do is longer than the list of things I can't do.
F*ck yea!!!
Welding is a very hot process, so it generates a pretty strong thermal updraft by itself. Just keeping your head out of that column works most of the time. Welding other metals (like stainless steel) it's a good idea to wear a respirator.
Welder here - It's a warning to not breathe the fumes and/or smoke when welding. It's on every box of welding rods or wire. I've seen it a million times.
Looks awesome OP! Maybe glue & brad nail a strip of 1/2 round along the top of the backrest to close up the gap. It will give it a finished look without looking like you tried to fix something.
Thank you!
One of the best episodes!
Sorry, they changed the web address. It's been a few years since I left that place.
There are machines that can remove all the pin bones in a fillet like that in about three seconds. I built them for 8 years. Rycomachines.com
No, like the ones made by this company : incredibleeats.com . You eat them after you finish your meal.
They make edible forks & spoons in India (out of soy beans I think). Comes in several different flavors.
Space Battleship Yamato (or Star Blazers in the U.S.)
Dumpster juice. That's what we called it when I worked at McDonalds.
You learn something new every day, thank you for that!
I think that is Billie Eilish.
I believe that's Billie Eilish.
I've worked in similar set up. Once you feel the tank start to move when it's not meant to- your brain wants to panic, it's hard to stop it.
The tank & one of the roller wheels. I'm betting the wedge fell out while the welder was climbing the ladder.
Boilermaker here - Tanks are made sitting on rollers so you can spin them. When you don't want them to spin, you shove a wedge between (1/2)
It specifically said it cared deeply for him & all the others that got lost. A very powerful episode, one of my favorites.
Mill scale is the common name.
Wow OP, glad you're on the mend. I had walking pneumonia many years ago & it wasn't as bad as that.
The tube of stuff is rubber cement. It helps the rubber strip stick the edge of the hole & make it air tight.
The banana one is bullshit. The tiny seeds are undeveloped & are unable to grow. New banana plants come from cuttings, not seeds.
First class fix-up job.
#8 - That's one fat hedgie! But he does look very comfy.
The really bizarre thing- the wig is part of the moon base female uniform. When working off base, no wig or silver mini-skirt.
Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.
I think it's in Taiwan. Power was shut off when they stop paying the bill. Bottom floor flooded (sump pumps stopped). Fish were dumped in.
Looks like the imprint of a cell phone dropped in the snow right next to a fresh pile of dog shit. Landed face down from raised case edge.
F*ck yea!!!
