I guess that's standard procedure, use a resistor to ensure the rated voltage drop.
I always wondered if full wave rectification would fry them. They're basically on a 40% PWM duty cycle. Might run into temp issues.

I should clarify, sitting in a classroom with 30 kids from the same city for over a decade
Not necessarily factory workers. I travel a lot for my job. It’s more culturally expanding than any classroom.

Requiring 12 years to teach those things just sounds excessive. I don't see how more years is inherently better.
I believe those things could be taught in less than 12 years if we took a hard look at they way we teach.
I believe we could streamline elementary school and produce 14 yr olds as socialized and civilized as today's 18 year olds.
