Does the word end in “mew” or end with “miut”? I’m not sure our language has a “w”, but does have words that end with “miut” which/
Inupiaq and Yupik ARE Inuit. We either prefer to identify as either, or as Alaska Native, or eskimo. Inuit isn’t common as a term in Alaska.
Inupiaq Malamuit, and Siberian Yupik here. Can confirm we call ourselves “eskimo” in Alaska. My Inuk friends from Canada and Gronland tho;
