Couldn't you disconnect them for a bit? Maybe a little switch that does it automatically?

It's spelled brake.

"Highest quality 24 karat gold" is a truism - a statement that confirms itself, or is redundant. Another example would be "it is what it is". Only idiots use truisms.

Dishonour? This person is fucking stupid if she thinks that trump/republicans care about dishonour. Has she not been paying attention? What a ridiculous, useless, stupid, waste of time.

Here the issue is scale. A local business owner might make a harmful decision about not paying his employee well because he wants to provide for his own children. The billionaire's decisions are not justifiable or necessary at all. He wants more obscene wealth numbers at the cost of harming many people. He does this on purpose because he wants to.

The argument though is that billionaires make harmful decisions in order to make money, not because their work is wonderful or altruistic.

We do know what to do. Waste is reprocessed and some can be used as fuel again. Otherwise, it is sealed up in containers and stored.

Mind you, the IDF's response to most things is to bomb first and ask questions never, so who could tell the difference?

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

In addition, the israeli propaganda response was thoroughly prepared. Video and statements were prompt, with a cohesive narrative. Then the military response was also too prompt to be improvised. If the IDF had been genuinely surprised then there would've been a period of intelligence gathering to establish exactly what else was planned, what enemy assets were in place, what further challenges / defence / resistance are likely. But the IDF knew exactly what to do.

I thought they were comfy tennis shoes or sneakers. Old people are often advised to wear these because it reduces the risk of falling. The expensive golf shoes probably serve the same purpose.

He does it to generate clicks, likes and advertising revenue.

The attack was so successful that it can't simply be a matter of IDF security failure, or even deliberately "looking the other way" eg redeploying IDF assets away from the area prior to the attack. It must have been planned by the israelis. A textbook false flag operation.

Your habits are reasonable and wholesome. Theirs are weird and disgusting.

I was going to comment similarly; him and his team probably judge that there is a good chance of a useful resistance or escalation in Portland, to trigger the next stages of the fascist takeover. A couple of weeks ago they were planning a Chicago adventure for the same reason but I think a clever local government shut that down.

It would be a fairly trivial exercise to force his aircraft to land in a european country on the way back to israel. I wonder why that didn't happen? Could it be that the europeans aren't actually bothered about arresting him?

are describing that they have a particular set of autistic traits which are specific to the individual.

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, we're not all "on the spectrum". Diagnostically, as far as the DSM / ICD10/11 are concerned, autism is a binary yes-no diagnosis. Either you are or you are not. If a person has some autistic traits eg impaired reciprocal social interaction, but insufficient to meet "caseness" for a formal diagnosis, then the outcome for the assessment is simply "not autistic". When we talk about a "spectrum" we are not saying "this person is a little bit autistic, but this person is really autistic", we 1/2

Everything in those books can be traced to other authors. Rowling stole (not borrowed) heavily from The Worst Witch, Tolkien and many others, passing their work and ideas off as her own brilliant originality. She has never credited or acknowledged that she is a lazy, boring plagarist. Her actual writing is the most dreadful "young adult" bullshit. I still don't know how she got away with creating a race of greedy goblin bankers with hooked noses.

It suggests that he is some kind of useful stooge.

Sure you can. Steroid treatment has many side effects. 3 big ones are: GI mucosal / erosion/bleeding, impaired glucose tolerance and osteopaenia. For GI concerns you can add a PPI such as omeprazole or alternatively ranitidine. The impaired glucose tolerance issue is mainly relevant for diabetics; might need to adjust diabetic meds. The osteopaenia issue is really only a concern if the steroid therapy is long-term; might cover with a bisphosphonate. WRT renal function; not really an issue 1/2

Nah, I watched the whole series. He did well with a pretty problematic script, and I absolutely loathed his character so good job I suppose. It was a black comedy so you'd expect a bit of exaggerated hammy performances but he completely overdid it. Chewing the scenery. Not even close to an acting masterclass.

Trump absolutely lacks the ability to bang anything these days, because he is certainly completely impotent, due to age, obesity, cardiovascular risk factors and antihypertensive medication.

Lovely. I have a money tree, a type of succulent. Over 25 years it's now huge, and every 5 years or so sends up a tiny little shoots that produces tiny flowers for a few days. I think they're yellow?

2/2 loads of things aren't neurodivergence either. Do a bit of reading FFS you wally.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. Neurodivergent refers to neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, and verbal dyspraxia, among others. Otehr coditions of "mental deviance including major mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder are categorically not neurodivergence. Likewise, personality disorders are not neurodivergence. Furthermore, acquired brain injuries are not neurodivergence. Anxiety, phobias, eating disorders and fucking 1/2
