from the fem perspective --> contribution does not equal money.

if you choose to move in, go in with an open conversation that you will still be actively looking for work, but that your 'contribution' will be looking after more of the house-ly responsibilities (I'm not saying trad wife)

I've been there before, and it's worked out, and then when I got a job we re-negotiated roles and responsibilities. As long as you and they know that future responsibilities could/will change.... you're fine

canadian here - hey, even some of our 'smaller' cottage country lakes can be deadly. didn't dare go out in the chop past the dock this summer, and that was even with a life jacket AND I'm a good swimmer. sometimes the winds just do that

Canada equivalent of FMLA can be divided between the maternal and paternal parent for up to 18months, which guarantees job security (because your employer can’t say shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit about your reproductive rights) so yes. I will take my ___ amount of time at a government paid rate, because that’s what my taxes pay for

they legally can't. they can fill the position while the person is away, but it's the same way our mat/pat leave works. If there is a doctor note involved, your position in "___" place of employment is legally protected

fuck ya you take that medical EI leave! I've had to do it a few times in my life and always came out better on the other side since didn't have to stress about work.

Probably with the same high masking techniques. it's exhausting. But I think I saw a longer video of this somewhere, where she's happily munching away on her breakfast so she must have succeeded!

as a recently diagnosed ADHD-er here... there's ALOT of overlap between ADHD and Autism, but sometimes (like me) people do stuff like this because its the Social Anxiety. Calling people is terrifying because 'what if i'm doing it wrong?' It's so much easier to message people because then you don't feel like you are being judged... but when in person I'm anxious because I can read faces and body expression really well so it feels like I'm constantly being judged.
