They clammed up and shut down trade, which will make Chinese and American goods and gas priced higher, and will likely make China more angry at the US for this overstep. Nuclear war from Iran isn’t really what people are worried about, it’s the political and economic fallout, and that this is a step onto the slippery slope that will lead to war.
