Also an old man. Had open heart surgery and for some reason the anesthesia put my intestines to sleep. The way to awaken them was pump my stomach. I don't know why, but it worked. But yes. I teared up and would again. Haha.

I was the generation of 64k. Gen x. The slackers and losers who were told we wouldn't amount to anything. A decade or so from retirement age.

Not sure if anyone has asked this. Always ambidextrous? Or a skill you learned over time?

Hell for me I have been doing this for 30 years. Just told by new management that it seems like I don't work as hard as others. Mind you I have been in current job over 10 years. And all of a sudden perception is reality. I just said ok. We'll let's all go back to working in the office. We can watch each other. And right now I have no fucks to give. Part of me hopes they let me go and I get unemployment and I ease into early retirement. Or find a mindless data entry job.

I have a pig valve. The surgeon seemed upset. But I don't want to deal with the noise. The blood thinner. Etc. The replacement is thru the artery in the groin and no opening the chest.

I will take it one step further. Once my parents pass I will never set foot in my hometown again.

I have the satisfaction of doing better than most of my so called friends/bullies when I see them when I go home to see the parents. But I can guarantee you once my parents pass away, I will never set foot in that shit hole little city again. 53 here. Always felt this way. It doesn't go away.

Nah, animal valves lost about 12 years. It's normal. I have a pig valve for the aorta. Much smaller incision. And replacement can be done thru the big artey in your groin, no chest cracking

I didn't find out until I was an adult that my left ear is bigger than my right. I was getting a haircut and she was lining up the sideburns. Haha. Wouldn't have ever noticed it.

Unbefuckingleivable. For bad news, that is some great news. Fingers crossed that it is benign.

I say use my body for anything, I recall the woman who got blown up, her family sued that they were traumatized that her body was used in such a way. Blow me up, haha. I think that would be hilarious.

I have a pig valve for my aorta. They say it should last 12 years. 6 years in so far. Good on you to last 15 years. They told me when I get my tune up, they will be able to go thru the groin without cracking the chest this time. Not an option for mitral valve? Same on decision to forego the mechanical valve. Also don't want the clicking. There was a gentleman on here who had one that was so loud, recorded the audio from his phone away from his chest. It was awful.

Same. 90 years is a win.

I have multiple too and scattered on my body. Haha

Also had a bicuspid aorta valve replaced. First one thru chest because it calcified and collapsed. Future replacements will go thru groin. So yes, less painful, but I would go thru that pain again for the relief/improvement that I feel now. Glad I got a pig valve and not mechanical. Also told these should last about 12 years.

Wow here I thought I was the only one with a child who had a thought out plan that young. Puberty didn't help much either. He is 26 now. Luckily made it out the other side and he is doing much much better now. He was on ability too. But found that Cymbalta works well too. It's when I found out I suffer from depression too, but learned to live with it. Keep getting support and apply for disabilities etc, can get care and assistance
