I like art, metaphorical symbolism, garlic bread, and seals. If you enjoy my illustrations, you can follow me here if you'd like https://twitter.com/CMystalia no pressure though

We make highly specialized machines for the craziest unique things. it's fascinating

My dumb ass over here thinking "wow, the dedication to wait for them to hatch and grow and go back to film them all again, even putting on the same bracelet!" instead of realizing they probably had multiple bugs and eggs of the same species at the same time and the bug on film isn't the one from that egg,

No gold star for rational thinking for me today

These are great and I wanted to look up the artist and noticed somebody went through a bunch of trouble to try and blur out the signature in many of these (It's Jeremyville btw). Why the hell do people get such satisfaction from trying to obfuscate where things came from? Is it a power dynamic of feeling superior by taking away credit from somebody who worked to create something? Not saying it was OP, maybe they just reposted. But blurred or cropped credits happen so often.

Ah yes, cats, the natural outdoor animal. Unlike dogs and rats and snakes and parrots and fish and every other pet known to man, yea? Can you imagine being allowed to let a pet pig wander around people's yards freely, shitting on everything and destroying property like cats do? Or dogs and snakes just being let out of the front door to go rove and roam and kill wildlife whenever they want like cats do? All of them were outside animals, and now they are not. Keep you animal indoors.

#9 Made me think it'd be kind of funny if, every time a whack conspiracy theory about dumb shit that's being used to accuse/hate/dismiss/discredit/be violent towards other people gets popular, we create an equally whack conspiracy about the same thing that's positive (in an insane way) and a reason to appreciate people instead.

I struggle with being negative constantly as well. Being cynical is comfortable and easy, and change is difficult. I'll upvote you for giving this effort

If anything from the internet can survive after we're all gone and it is no longer in use, I hope it'll be this message. It would be so funny if future academics find it and have to figure out wtf it means, arriving at wildly different conclusions all hotly debated by anthropologists defending their thesis

We are big mammals and rest is mandatory, no matter how much society wants to convince you that you should keep going, engines blasting, 24/7. Look how much lying around a lion does. Without rest you won't survive. When your body tell you to rest, that rest is productive.

It's for measuring distances, objects in proportion to the things around them, and to see which parts of the figure line up with other parts

Can you imagine your great x20 grandfather still being alive and you're about the size of half of his foot?

Kind of strange to realize that the soil beneath our feet might be more worm than soil just a few cm down

Do animals get jet lag? How do they deal with short/long night if they cover many timezones?

There's a bunch of those, and they always get taken over instantly by bots and gross people that don't respect boundaries anyway
