Mostly worked in tech, and enjoy learning how everything works. Wish I could have a fuzzy buddy of my own, but I've always been allergic. Had birds for a bit, but they don't quite scratch the same itch for me. I still enjoy seeing a feathered snuggle buddy though (cockatiels and cockatoos especially).

You keep using this word "we"...

Why do problems serving your customers get them additional money? It should get them less. Oh, right... rigged system.

Create a good enough alternative then. Or figure out how to degrade their services using the very tools they're claiming are fine to have everyone access (AI). Or create legislation using empirical measures that would prevent this (no judgement needed by corrupt other politicians). Or...

Dynamite make big horizontal hole. Or throw musk at it (please).

#8 Good T-shirt idea.

Or a reason to interrupt your own negative rumination. That it might seem right or correct or hurting nobody, but our bodies make many changes slowly over time. And we don't even realize it is happening as it does.

#1 hadn't seen the economic reasons for it before. Just the fear of "other". And "I'm just trying to help".

Yep. Life can feel like hell when you're a "clumsy clod" (thanks Grandma for that one... and sorry for repeating it at the restaurant later toward our server).

I just want to see them all burn. Every damn one.

Seems like a false colored 3D model (interactive) + some physical stuff could make it clearer too. Or more intuitive.

Who is supposed to be the check on presidential powers again? (Supreme court is a joke, and congress aren't independent) Or the federal government in general? (How many states does it take to finally fight back physically?) Or the "secret" service in general? (Can they just do anything they want, at any time? No oversight?)

Too much of anything is bad. And many people have toxic ideals they can't help but believe currently. Suddenly changing who you are is probably going to impact any life partner's opinions of you. And venting has a toll on the other person. Especially if you're unwilling/unable to do anything about it.

Need to find a way to create/support these programs outside of an expensive TV network. Don't know if that is a shared pass/membership or what.

Hadn't put it together like that, but yep. "Here is a list of what is moral... and you should blindly follow it."

Wonder how long until someone uses these as a weapon? Like purposeful climate change by removing all/most moisture before air gets to their neighbors. Or even just "rich people want more water" (not specifically being malicious).

I missed the importance of "off-grid" there. They mean it can function without energy from anything except natural wind and the sun. Though there are versions that can use external energy too (I assume to increase the throughput or efficiency somehow).

I wondered if it was the guy they focused on in the recent movie I Swear (2025). It's really hard to have empathy for others when we hurt or are angry. Especially when we're surprised and being watched so closely by so many people. Part of me is surprised this was about the BBC, but I don't know tons about them or their history lately.

Or charge the carriers for any damage. No repercussions = no extra care.

I still think computers for "powerful" positions is a safer option than leaving them to humans. We could measure what they'd do in various situations, and change them on purpose.

Or, scoop each chip individually just before eating. Any of the chips sitting under the wet stuff for a while are going to get soggy.

Beef tallow was the original fry cooking oil. Someone was stupid and made them remove it (fear of saturated fats). Hence the adding back in the beef flavoring that was removed from a successful product.

Not to poo on this too hard, but there has to be a difference in longevity and environments it'll be useful in. Anything biodegradable will have that issue. That's kind of the point. And doesn't molded cardboard work pretty similarly?

Yep, we can choose to interact with our "family" or not.

#16 yep. Sliding into here after fixing my diet (lowering my inflammation too, yea!). Almost wonder if I'm getting effects like first generation antihistamine side effects (after naturally lowering mine).

#4 sadly two inflammatory sources turned out to be the oats and corn I was eating (being wheat gluten and peanut free already).

"Gluttony originates from the Latin gluttire ("to swallow" or "gulp down") and gula ("throat"), which also produced the word "gullet". It entered Middle English (as glutonie) from Old French gloton (or gluton), signifying an excessive eater or scoundrel, evolving into the 13th-century term for overindulgence. Medieval Interpretation: The term was used to describe not just excessive eating, but also eating too greedily, daintily, or too soon, as outlined by Thomas Aquinas."
