I'm a licensed Engineer, I play the piano, and in the before-times, I did a lot of swing dancing (Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag). I cook a mean breakfast. Journey before destination.

Well, that's the thing - I want no vehicles near me. I want to put my cruise control on and be going fast enough where cars aren't piling up behind me, and I'm not forced to adjust my speed because the person in front of me can't keep a consistent pace (whether because they haven't discovered their own cruise control, or it's a semi truck on a hill, etc.)

they hate you, but you're right. Everyone needs to take some basic computer science courses. this is abysmal to read

There isn't a single city in the US where you can work minimum wage and afford a monthly payment on a mortgage, and most struggle to make even rent. Record corporate profits, corporations are allowed to buy residential property, and most minimum wages aren't tied to inflation or cost of living / property value increases. How is this GOOD to you?

Propaganda can more aptly be described as someone telling you something, then telling you how you should feel about it. This isnt propaganda

sike I was wrong. likely closer to #12 stranded & shielded

Common strips I see are ~15A, so a minimum of #16 stranded would be required for sustained use. Technically, it should be shielded, too

In my (limited) experience, it does tend to be the wire gauge that's the limiting factor on the ampacity of these power strips

not that twitter needs to uphold a legal sense of free speech of course, but it's ironic because that's the flag Elon flies

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

it's funny, because many courts have ruled free speech is such that the satirist does NOT need to point out that they are being satirical

Plus, we are a product of nature. How can ANYTHING we do be unnatural?

And Sikh absolutely can carry their Kirpan on a plane so long as it's 6" or shorter. I haven't found anything on schools specifically

Cool thing about how the constitution works is that it supersedes state and other local laws by virtue of being a federal law

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're intentionally deluding the issue. HAVING to do something is bad, yes, but your right to exercise your religion is encoded in our laws

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Just because someone else has it worse, doesn't mean you can't have it bad. Stubbing your toe still hurts despite worse pain others suffer

Oxford commas are for those who choose to be specific when they could've been vague. Not using them are for those who type at 20 wpm lmao

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why be vague when you can be specific? It's just so easy - commas are free

I'd get a license if it was like $500/y for myself with no commercial applications. I just like making things, damn

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just wish Autodesk / Solidworks had reasonable personal license prices. $3,000 for myself with no alternative? Guess I go without

No. People like male body positivity. You're being downvoted because you're arguing against strawmen and I personally think you're a dumbass

buy a cake then. the rest of us that feel included to do so will buy a pizza with pineapple

I know - that attitude bugs me so much. Being safe /always/ takes more time. I'd prefer to be slow than dead

(because the chains are longer than the bar is off the ground, so more of the chain is lifted the higher the bar goes)

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Similar concept to chains you see on some bench presses. At the bottom of the rep, the chains contribute less weight. At the top, more.
