Cats are pretty much immune to most spider venom... huntsman aren't really venomous anyway... i would have still burned the house down
But yes proper vacuum bags will withstand higher temps (of course not roasting... altho roast chicken oven bags are also a thing.)
This is what sous vide was invented for... then you finish it in the pan without the bag, like in this image.
I'd use a vacuum seal bag instead... much less waste
