My high school did a straight up drag performance of Taming of the Shrew since there were more female than male students by a significant margin. All male parts were played by females, all female parts were played by males. Definitely not allowed anymore.
In my elementary school we had to be silent during every lunch. I'm pretty sure it did lasting damage.

Never understood that. Why would you grab a beer with a recovering alcoholic. It seems mean. Maybe go for coffee instead?
Have you ever heard of the book 1632? There's a section of the series that deals with how modern music might influence 17th century music.
I swore in 1st grade I would never be a librarian because I hated alphabetizing my spelling lists.

Rereading though, I may have been assigning intonation that wasn't there. I was picturing the nanny yelling/fussing rather than explaining
I am very well aware of that. I work in child care and have had my own moments of panic at things getting misreported. 1/
I was a nanny and was siding with the parent until that last bit. Nanny's reaction and parent's unconcern with the lying are both concerning
