I'm a long-time imgur user, though I tend not to keep the same account for very long. You can only spend some much time in Usersub blocking users whose very existence seems to be posting video game screenshots, Warhammer figurines, highly sexualized underage anime girls, shoe fetish pictures, and politics before you run out of viewing material in Usersub and are forced to switch to Most Viral. So, every few years, I delete my account and start from scratch. I'm a firm believer that July 29th, LNI, RHM, THT, and FF are how imgur should be all day every day. I despise the allowances for selfies on Christmas and Halloween, and I was ecstatic when Secret Santa went away (no more pointless pictures of secret Santa gifts from November through March!). I know about the Jumper Cables and the Poop Knife. I'm a biologist-turned teacher who has taught every age from 7th grade through college sophomores and GED students in prison. I speak English and Portuguese equally well, and I'm conversational in Spanish, Spanglish, and Arizona Prison Cholo Slang (it's a real thing). I love living things. I'm an aquarium enthusiast, amateur herpetologist, ornithologist, and avid gardener and horticulturist. And I'm a teacher at heart, so I love helping others learn about everything that I know and love. I love music. I play guitar, bass, and drums. I took piano lessons as a kid, though they never really stuck, and I played saxophone in high school. I have a fairly eclectic musical palate, though my roots are in punk and metal, and I have a general disdain for modern pop, country/hick-hop, and rap/hip-hop. I can't stand listening to jazz, though I loved playing it in high school, and I love watching it being played. I love bluegrass, as long as it's not stained glass bluegrass. I hate the Beatles.
